LDM

How it works

LDM stands for local dynamic micro-massage and refers to a dual-frequency ultrasound technique. Gentle ultrasound waves are applied to the skin through a handpiece with water or a gel, creating a mild massaging effect on the tissue. It is used as a soothing skin care, often as part of a series. It does not break the skin, and effects are modest.

Good to know

• Ask what the treatment is intended to do for your skin, and over what number of sessions.
• Clarify whether it is a standalone service or combined with others.
• Mention rosacea, recent procedures, or skin conditions so the plan can be adjusted.
• Mild warmth or redness may occur; irritation is uncommon.

Checking a LDM treatment before you book

Because this is a gentle care, expectations should match. A clinic that describes it as supportive, not transformative, is representing it accurately.

Confirm what the quote covers, since care is usually sold as a series. Ask how many visits make up a course and what happens if you stop part way.
